It’s the beginning of a new month and that can only mean one thing! It’s time for your desktop wallpaper for July! When most people think of July, they see ice-creams, sunny days at the beach and perhaps a sombrero hat! As a fan of literature, I am reminded of classic books, such as Charlotte’s Web and the Harry Potter book series. Because July marks the birthday of E.B White, writer of Charlotte Web (11th July) and J.K Rowling (31st July). Even though I love Harry Potter and Charlotte Web, there is a book I treasure even more and its amazing author is just as talented. This author wrote and illustrated over 25 books and all with the use of animals as main characters. She was clearly a lover of animals, in particular bunny rabbits! So, designing this wallpaper was a real delight for me because I also love rabbits! It was her summer’s spent in the countryside in Scotland that inspired her to paint and write stories. Her most famous book was ‘The Tale of Peter Rabbit’, which inspired her to continue writing more books. Today she is the most loved and famous children’s writer among other greats, such as A.A Milne and Frank L. Baum.
This month I am honouring the great children’s author, Beatrix Potter! Happy Birthday Beatrix and here’s a desktop wallpaper for July inspired by you!

Beatrix Potter’s tales about Peter Rabbit and the rest of the gang have taught children about curiosity and exploring the great big world out there. My favourite Beatrix potter quote encourages exploration and getting outside your comfort zone:
“We can’t stay home all our lives! We must present ourselves to the world, and we must look upon it as an adventure!”
I believe there’s a lot of people out there who are afraid of leaving their comfort zones and facing new challenges. It leaves them with a sense of insecurity, great worry and selflessness. Leaving your comfort zone means having to learn to skills, meet new people and put a hell lot of effort to succeed or even make it worthwhile. But you shouldn’t be thinking like this, it’s not about succeeding or failing. It’s about the experience you have and what you learn. After all, great success can only come from facing your fears.
